The Star Engine In a distant, dark and faraway future, many human affairs are taken of by little helpers called ELFs (Engineered Life Forms). They range from primitive algae used to make hostile atmospheres hospitable to human life, to pointy eared humanoids that do chores and fight wars for their human masters.
